iPod Shuffle has colour-coded flashing LED lights for its indicators of functions. iPod Shuffle will flash green meaning paused, and orange means iPod Shuffle is in Hold mode. The red on the iPod's battery indicator means it's time to re-charge, plug into any USB port. iPod Shuffle doesn't have any LCD display, is wearable with USB 2.0 built in. iPod Shuffle is a beautifully designed piece of technology. Again, Apple makes technology look so cool. iPod Shuffle is so small and light. Shuffle has a simple, round controller. The Shuffle features simple buttons making it easier to operate than your average TV changer.
iPod Shuffle comes with software, earphones, and a manual. iPod is designed for really active people or athletes. It needs to be recharged daily with a battery life of about 12 hours. When Shuffle is plugged into your USB, you can refresh your music with iTunes new autofill feature. iPod Shuffle never skips and is really portable. You can even wear the iPod Shuffle around your neck. Apple iPod Shuffle is all Apple, so it works perfectly with iTunes, iTunes automatically loads your iPod Shuffle player with an optimal number of songs. iPod Shuffle doesn't have FM radio, voice recording, or line-in recording. The single playlist is played back either in order or randomly. Sound on iPod Shuffle is loud enough and very clear. When you have iTunes randomly fill your iPod Shuffle, you will discover, or rediscover your own music.
iPod Shuffle is the only flash based mp3 player that will play FairPlay-protected AAC files from the iTunes store. The 512MB Apple iPod Shuffle will hold about 103 songs, that's 7.5 hours of music. So, the 1GB iPod Shuffle holds roughly twice that. Of course that's only a couple of copies of "Inagodadavita" or Peter Frampton's "Do You Feel Like We Do" (just kidding). You can make iTunes swap out your iPod Shuffle with new tunes or you can add songs randomly from your playlist.
iPod Shuffle will play MP3 up to 320Kbps, AAC files up to 320Kbps, MP3 VBR, WAV, and Audible files. iPod Shuffle will not play WMA, AIFF, or Apple Lossless. iPod Shuffle takes a full four hours to charge its battery completely. Remember Apple iPod has 12 hours of battery life. Like all other Apple iPods, there will be many third party accessories to look at and buy for your iPod Shuffle. Apple's iPod Shuffle accessories are great, there's a miniature dock, an AAA battery pack, a USB power adapter, a cool protective carrying case, and an armband.
